My Day, and a Prayer Request

First, the prayer request, for my pastor and his wife and family. A close family member is suffering ill health because of cancer, and it's rapidly getting worse. You can read about their Easter celebration together here.

Our Wednesday-Lunch-with-Daddy was extra special today as we got to listen to a jazz trio in the Town Square of my husband's office building. They were promoting a local jazz fest coming up.

Prayers ascend for your family, Barb. Too bad you couldn't take the kids to the Indians' opening day...because it's HERE in Milwaukee. Your ball park is covered with snow, so the Indians came to Milwaukee?!?!?!? while the Brewers are on a road trip. Of course there's a blizzard here, too, but we have our retractable dome stadium to keep the weather out.

That's bizarre, isn't it? I wouldn't have taken the kids to Opening Day here anyway, because it was scheduled for Good Friday! There's been talking about putting up a dome here, but somehow it's never happened.

Looks like I missed a good lunch time. Love jazz trio's.

After driving for 14 hours, I stopped in Birmingham for the night. Four hours more in the morning.

VERY enjoyable drive though. Slower than the airlines, but without having to feel like cattle.

Weather wasn't great, but mostly clear. Great music on Country radio, and CD's. Some talk radio, too. Sean H. & Rush L. The latter was a bit boring today.

I LOVE the Duke students being let off and Jessie J & company going ballistic! Bet we get another Watts or Rodney King riot out of this one. They were already spending the money of the sociological "sale" they had made, and now the deal falls apart. They had not doubt counted their chickens before they had hatched, and now... not chickies at all.
