Get This Party Started

Hey ya'll! Through the lovely Kate, I found The Ultimate Blog Party, hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom, and decided I wanted to take part, 'cause I love a good party! I'm going to *try* to do something interesting every day with the party theme; we'll see how it goes.

My name's Barb; I'm married and have two lovely daughters, the Scientist, who's 11, and Wildchild, who's 8. When I'm not homeschooling them, I try to find time and energy to sew and cross-stitch. I usually end up sewing for my daughters

and dolls, theirs and mine!

I also love roller coasters, music, ice skating and reading a good story. I'm looking forward to having a good time this week. I can use something to lift my spirits!

oh, i always wanted to sew so badly. I just wanted to make my little girl some summer jumpers to wear over t-shirts. Don't ask. i tried to make a maternity dress, and it was a complete tent. Oh well. Your girls are beautiful, and so are their dresses.

Oh dear. Another evil genius. We had better not get too close to each other or we may plot mass destruction and global chaos. :)

Sweet dresses, btw! And I love the sunglasses!!

Hi, Barb. The title of your blog made me laugh out loud. What great pictures on your site. (And I like Cedar Pointe, too!)

I have daughters close in age to yours... My Tate will be 10 next week, and Newt is 7. To be honest, there are days when I just know if Newt had been first she would have been an only child. But I love them both.

Love your blog, hope to see you at my place some time this week

I would love to sew, but God just didn't give me that talent. I think my oldest daughter will be a good sewer, she is like her Grandma who had three sewing machines that she loved very much. Happy partying!

Fun blog. And you got to see the eclipse. My son was very disapointed that we couldn't see it.

Great party!

Hey, Barb! I'm still checking out blogs from the UBP. Glad I made it to yours!

Those dresses you made are just incredible! I'm trying to get up the nerve to try sewing for the first time in 30 years. We'll see how it goes.
