Everybody is doing this, so I thought I'd join in. Everything I've done is in bold.

Hi Barb--
I saved my daughter when she was about two. She was choking. Couldn't make a sound. Turning purple. I did the Heimlich maneuver and a huge ball of bread went flying across the room.

Pretty scary.

It *must* have been really scary but still must have felt good to save your child's life.

Technically, if you have donated blood, etc., you have saved a life, and if you have the same blood type as me, it could have been mine!

I have donated blood -- my blood type is O positive which I think is the universal donor. I guess I didn't really think about that saving a life.
