We're Having a Heat Wave

It's a balmy 42 degrees (6 Celsius) today! The snow is getting slightly mushy, and very packable, because it's starting to melt a little. Perfect for a...snowball fight!

Wildchild tries to stockpile ammo.

Mark Price for threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Oh, um, the driveway got shoveled a little too.

Hi Barb,

It very rarely snows here in NW Florida, and when it does, it's just a few flurries. Any that accumulates on the ground melts away pretty quickly when the sun comes out. It's very much a novelty when it happens, so I always associate snow with fun and days off. When I was little, I remember it snowed quite a bit one time. I was sick with a cold so my Mom wouldn't let me go out and play in it. So, my Dad made a little snowman for me and sat it on the outside window sill. :-)

Kate, do you ever get any snow accumulation in the winter where you live? One snowball...thrown!

Susan, that was very cute, what your dad did. I grew up only fifteen minutes or so from where I live now, so I'm used to this weather. I associate it a little still with fun, from those childhood memories of playing outside in the snow for what seemed like hours.
