Happy Halloweeeeeeeen

Yes, I know it was yesterday, but I was just too exhausted last night to even plug the adapter in to download the pictures. And I didn't even walk around with the kids last night! But the girls were sorting out their candy motherload this morning. :)

This is my pumpkin, designed by me, carved by DH. I feel the same way Marie does about pumpkin guts.

The Scientist was the cutest cheerleader at Spook U., and Wildchild was Princess Strawberry Shortcake. Notice the sparkle from her newly pierced ears! Also, pictures of their pumpkins. The girls had a great time, and that is what it's all about.

Too cute! Is it the evil genius in you that got Blogger to upload your pictures? I've been trying all day and have only succeeded in getting one picture done. Oh well.

Well, I can't say anything, I didn't even remember to TAKE pictures! I'll hear it from the grandparents for sure! LOL!

They went to the Trunk or Treat at the Methodist church in town. We live out of town and in a fairly rural neighborhood, so it does not lend itself well to trick or treating. They had fun though and got lots of candy. The people really had their cars decorated-up well.

Your girls look cute and look like they had a lot of fun!

Love your Jack-o-Lanterns. Dd cleaned out the inside (gagging the whole time) and I carved it. It looked cute. Didn't take pictures of it either and it has already been disposed of because it STANK!!!!

Presbytera, I uploaded my pics one at a time. :) A little longer but at least it worked.

No pictures! You will hear about it from the grandparents!

Very nice pumpkins!

Congratulations on the pierced ears! I did not notice Wednesday morning, now I wish I had.

Kate, my husband bought two of what are called baking pumpkins, whose innards are more suitable for consumption. The seeds from the carved ones were, of course, saved, toasted, salted and consumed.

Marie, Wildchild is still so thrilled about her earrings she'll love it whenever you mention it. :)

wow you *toast* the *seeds* ??
so: you just rinse all that gooey slimy stringy stuff off them and then toast them in the oven on a tray?? sprayed with olive oil?? do you peel off the skin first??
perhaps our pumpkins are different to yours.. we have the large grey-skinned ones and the smaller dark-green-skinned ones. and i can never remember what each is called...

Yep, we rinse off the stringy orange glop and toast the seeds in the oven, only we use vegetable oil. We don't peel them or anything. And I guess our pumpkins have to be different, 'cause ours are orange when they're ripe! Hard to tell from those pics though! When my husband makes pumpkin pie with the baking pumpkins we bought, I'll take piccies.
