A Nice Round Number
I have reached my thousandth blog post! In all the years since 2005(!), I've met a lot of great people, written some things I'm really proud of, discovered a lot of things about other people, life and myself, and generally had fun. A blog is actually wonderful for someone like me, a stay-at-home mom in a world where it's harder to meet and make friends with other moms, especially if you are an introvert. But I mainly enjoy just getting my point of view out, whether it's about being a mom, a wife, a conservative, a Lutheran, bipolar or anything else. At least some of the next one thousand posts are sure to be on watching my daughters reach maturity, as well as making changes in my own life as my mommy duties decrease. Can't wait to see where it's going!

Barb!
Your blog is now officially a Kiloblog!
I've probably read almost all of your posts, as I've been a reader since 2006. Thanks for taking the time to blog, it's been fun to read.
Do you ever go back and read old posts and comments?
Hi Scottius! Thanks for stopping by! You are one of the many people I have had the pleasure of meeting via blogging, along with a certain redhead.
I do occasionally read old posts, but mainly only if I'm going to refer back to one of them. I do like reading positive comments if I'm feeling down about something that I've previously blogged about feeling down about. Or something.
Congratulations on reaching 1000! I've enjoyed reading your blog and learning about your thoughts and opinions. You're an inspiration for me.
:)

Karen, wow, I'm honored! I have to say I'm impressed at being able to parent a large family, myself.
Hey, J! I'm glad when you stop by.
Congratulations, Barb!
Barb:
Thought you might like to know: your church link is broken. Looks like the church has moved?
The blog is very thought provoking.
Thanks
Thank you, Anon, for your comment and for the notice about the church link. The church is temporarily renting space someplace different, but I thought someone in the church was working on keeping something on that web address. I guess not.
Pastor Waters, thank you for stopping by. I'm sorry I can't dig through the National Labor Relations Act personally to check facts, since you don't like the Heritage Foundation. I tend to go with all the conservative political bloggers I read who totally support Michigan's new rules.
