Thanks to you guys, I made progress on Wildchild's Christmas dress - the front is sewn together. Next comes cutting out the back skirt pieces and sewing them on to the top, cutting out the belt and sewing that on, doing the hems. I have to buy a zipper, too, and one for my dress, which I still need to start the muslin for. Maybe later after school, chores and taking Wildchild to her dance lessons.

Lovely! I still have material cut for a cape I started last year but never got the nerve to complete. I am not so good at sewing and the pattern and material looked so nice I couldn't bring myself to butcher it. So it is still sitting in a box.

Dana, if it makes you feel any better, just about every sewer has one UFO (unfinished object) tucked away in their closet.
Will you come over and sew me some stuff? I need some new things since Goodwill is too expensive now. And talking about your OCD has made me rethink going there anyway, although pants don't bother me as much as tops. I don't know why...further away from the head maybe?
Miss Sniz, I'd love to sew you some stuff! I will admit I don't mind the girls getting hand-me-downs from people we know. Unfortunately my figure is too, um, matronly, and I have to sew my own stuff, lol!
That is pretty pretty fabric! Let's hear it for classic Christmas dresses!
So how many years should a UFO sulk before it's "ok" to throw it away?
Ooooh, EC, never waste good fabric by *throwing* a UFO away! Just cut the pieces up and use it in something else!
