or the lack thereof, lol. Mr. BTEG is repairing the brake lines on my minivan. He's saving over $100 doing it himself, but it's taking him a while, because of course on an older vehicle the parts get rusted on good or otherwise thoroughly stuck. Plus he has to come in every so often so his fingers don't get frostbite. Literally. In the meantime, we have no working vehicle and I am going insane. The walls... they're closing in....

Mad Musician just did a new clutch cable on our old Saab. $60. I don't even want to think what the dealership (which is 120 miles away) would've charged!
But I hear you on the car thing. When the clutch went out, I was without a car for awhile. No fun.
I've replaced a clutch before. It's not fun.
Mr BTEG
We're figuring he came out pretty good since there's only ONE squeak in all the interior paneling he had to take out and reassemble. :)
I love a man who can fix my car. :)
AMEN to that!
Colin replaced the water pump in his van recently. Because of the kind it is the labor costs are really high because so much has to come out to work on anything. I don't know how much he saved us, but it was a bunch!
